Aerobic training as an adjunctive therapy to enzyme replacement in Pompe disease

► Endurance training improves muscle function and aerobic capacity in Pompe mice. ► Adaptations are similar in magnitude compared to wild-type littermates. ► Enzyme replacement therapy (rhGAA) does not impair the response to exercise. ► Aerobic training does not improve rhGAA uptake or reduce lysosomal glycogen content.
