Éducation thérapeutique et schizophrénie : Quels buts ?

La psycho-éducation est particulièrement indiquée dans les maladies psychiques chroniques, notamment la schizophrénie, car elle permet une compensation relative des déficiences liées aux troubles psychiatriques par une implication du patient dans son propre parcours thérapeutique, mais aussi celle de son entourage. Cette démarche qui induit une forte adhésion thérapeutique du patient est mise en place selon ses besoins et son profil. Favorisant le succès du traitement, notamment sur le long terme, elle peut revêtir plusieurs formes adaptées au degré d’autonomie du patient : observance, contrat thérapeutique ou encore alliance thérapeutique.
