Développement de la recherche infirmière en promotion de la santé : un levier dans la lutte contre les inégalités sociales et territoriales de santé

The growth in social and territorial health inequalities (STHI) and changes in lifestyles have consequences on the population's health and give rise to the need for action with regard to living environments and the social determinants of health (SDH). In order to respond to changes in the population, interventional research in nursing must contribute to the production of transferable knowledge for communities' health. The discipline's multiple epistemological bases are a lever for the development of interventions which take into account SDHs. Nurses must also develop partnerships as the lobbying of health professionals helps to transform systems and improve environments and policies. Training nurses in this field is a necessary condition for ensuring their participation in improving the population's social and territorial health.
