RésuméLe syndrome de Lemierre est une affection rare, touchant le plus souvent des adultes en bonne santé et parfois d’évolution létale. Nous rapportons un cas d’évolution favorable ayant présenté un tableau très caractéristique : angine, thrombose septique de la veine jugulaire interne, métastases septiques pulmonaires, septicémie à Fusobacterium necrophorum. L’antibiothérapie antianaérobie a été rapidement mise en route et administrée pendant quatre à six semaines. L’anticoagulation initiée lors de la mise en évidence de la thrombose a été poursuivie jusqu’à reperméabilisation complète de la jugulaire.
Lemierre's syndrome is a rare disease, mostly affecting young adults in good health, which can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. We report one case with favourable outcome and clinical features stereotypics: angina, septic thrombosis of the internal jugular vein, pulmonary septic metastasis, Fusobacterium necrophorum on blood cultures. Antibiotic therapy targeting anaerobes has been rapidly initiated and maintained 4–6 weeks. The anticoagulation has been maintained 4 weeks.
