IRM dans les conflits vasculonerveux de l'angle ponto-cérébelleux

High-field MRI is the gold standard exploration for the cranial nerves. For the pontocerebral angle, it can provide a clear diagnostic image of neurovascular impingement. The clinical presentation is essential to diagnose neurovascular impingement since routine neuroimaging often reveals neuovascular elements crossing each other with no clinical expression. Sensitivity and specificity are excellent with TOF and high-resolution T2 sequences. We report three cases of neurovascular impingement involving the facial and trigeminal nerves and recall the characteristic MRI features of neurovascular impingement as well as the most recent data on diffusion tensor imaging.
