Évaluation en résonance magnétique des carcinomes épidermoïdes du col de l'utérus

The prognosis of uterine cervical cancer depends strictly on tumor volume, the regional extension as described by the FIGO classification, and the presence of lymphatic invasion. With the right technical conditions, MRI allows excellent assessment of the tumor volume and regional extension at least on par with clinical examination under general anesthesia. MRI has excellent specificity for lymphatic invasion although its sensitivity is lower. The goal of this paper is to review imaging of the uterine cervix under both normal and malignant conditions.
