Concerns regarding the scientific evidence informing impact risk assessment and management recommendations for invasive birds

► For management, invasive birds need to be ranked according to the threat they pose. ► We revise a recent impact risk assessment for invasive birds in Europe. ► Our results show that the evidence underlying impacts of invasive birds is often poor. ► We call for more scientific rigour in assessing conservation threats. ► Calls for eradication campaign of invasive species should be made only cautiously.
