Agronomical use as baby leaf salad of Silene vulgaris based on morphological, biochemical and molecular traits

► We study the genetic variability of 14 accessions of Silene vulgaris. ► We evaluate the accessions by molecular, morphological, agronomical and biochemical analysis. ► S. vulgaris can be considered as a promising new food to be used as a ready-to-eat product.
