Producing Jatropha oil-based polyol via epoxidation and ring opening

- Epoxidation reaction utilizes hydrogen peroxide 50% and completed in 5 h.
- Jatropha-based polyol have hydroxyl number of 171-179 mg/KOH with functionality 5.1-5.3.
- Low viscosity Jatropha-based polyol of 0.98 Pa.s. allows easier molding process.
- Jatropha-based polyol is renewable and non-edible.
