Castor oil-based lubricant reduces smoke emission in two-stroke engines

▶ A biodegradable 2T-oil is developed from castor oil, which consists “tolyl ethyl hexyl ester of acetylated castor oil fatty acid” and a performance additive but no diluents. ▶ It reduces smoke by 50 to 70% at 1-% oil fuel ratio. It is at par with BIS standard product specification. ▶ The starting problem, piston seizer or any other driving problems were not observed during the test. ▶ There is excellent potential in castor oil based biodegradable 2T-lubricant as smoke pollution reducer.
