Overcrowding of false codling moth, Thaumatotibia leucotreta (Meyrick) leads to the isolation of five new Cryptophlebia leucotreta granulovirus (CrleGV-SA) isolates

► Overcrowding as a latent baculovirus induction method was investigated. ► Five Cryptophlebia leucotreta granulovirus isolates were recovered. ► REN analysis showed genotypic variation between isolates. ► Phylogenetic comparisons of isolates revealed the presence of two genome groups.
