Effects of age and caloric restriction on the cardiac and coronary response to endothelin-1 in rats

These results suggest that aging produces alterations in myocardial and coronary responses to endothelin-1, that may be related to changes in expression of nitric oxide synthases and/or endothelin receptor subtypes, with some of these changes being prevented by caloric restriction.
