La medición de los autocuidados: una revisión de la bibliografía

Twenty-seven instruments were identified and analyzed. The results showed a marked theoretical-conceptual emphasis with a notable role played by the theories of Bandura, Orem and Lazarus and Folkman in the development in most of the instruments. Little clarity was found in their distinct domains and guidelines for applicability were practically non-existent. The psychometric properties were insufficient to recommend the use of any of the instruments analyzed.
