IrOx-carbon nanotube hybrids: A nanostructured material for electrodes with increased charge capacity in neural systems

A nanostructured IrOx-C nanotubes hybrid as coating for electrodes in neural systems is reported. Electrodeposition coupled with hydrolysis of carbon nanotubes-iridium solutions results in electroactive coatings with synergic properties.
