Adaptive fuzzy regulation of the DC-bus capacitor voltage in a wind energy conversion system (WECS)

► Adaptive fuzzy PI-like controllers can improve the regulation of the DC-bus voltage in wind energy conversion systems. ► An adaptive fuzzy controller based on a variable structure algorithm is robust as the estimator gets rid of the integrator action. ► Simulation results based on a 9 MW wind farm confirms the superiority of the proposed adaptive fuzzy controller.
