Cascaded coupling: Realization and application to spectral maneuvering

► A scheme of cascaded coupling using SLPGs has been analyzed. ► Cascaded coupling provides additional degree of freedom for spectral tuning. ► Appropriate grating parameters can be used to maneuver the transmission spectrum. ► Scheme is flexible, versatile and easily adaptable to various waveguide geometries.
