Automatic evaluation of singing enthusiasm for karaoke

► A new aspect of singing voice, “singing enthusiasm” is proposed. ► Human listeners perceive singing enthusiasm reasonably consistently. ► Listeners can distinguish the intended enthusiasm by listening to the voices. ► Three acoustic features relevant to singing enthusiasm were found. ► The correlation between the singing enthusiasm and the predicted one was about 0.65.
