Highly ordered macroporous carbon spheres and their catalytic application for methanol oxidation

► Three-dimensional macroporous carbon spheres (3DMPCS) were successfully prepared. ► The pore sizes of 3DMPCS can be easily controlled. ► 3DMPCS have large specific areas and the ordered interconnected channels. ► 3DMPCS can serve as ideal candidate for catalyst supports.
