Modèles cognitifs et comportementaux dans la compréhension du phénomène de douleur chronique

We present several theoretical cognitive and behavioral models which have been developed to better apprehend the development and persistence of chronic pain. In this brief review, we propose a description of the central concepts of these models relative to the phenomenon of chronic pain. The four main models, classical, operant and social conditioning, as well as cognitive model, are described and discussed from illustrative concrete clinical situations. Details of certain models such as the matching law and the concept of kinesiphobia are also examined.
