⺠Polymethoxyflavones induce GADD45α expression and inhibit colon cancer cell growth. ⺠Induction of GADD45α by polymethoxyflavone is associated with active histone marks. ⺠Intron 1 of GADD45α contains a novel enhancer that acts in a p53-independent manner. ⺠Tangeretin modulates chromatin remodeling at the novel enhancer of GADD45α.
