Purification and hypotensive activity of rapeseed protein-derived renin and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitory peptides

► LY, TF and RALP peptides were isolated from an Alcalase digest of rapeseed proteins. ► LY had significantly strongest inhibition of angiotensin converting enzyme activity. ► RALP had significantly strongest inhibition of renin activity. ► LY produced the most decrease in systolic blood pressure of hypertensive rats.
