Polymeric ion-selective membrane functionalized gate-electrodes: Ion-selective response of electrolyte-gated poly (3-hexylthiophene) field-effect transistors

- A selective response towards the biologically relevant ions K+ and Ca2+ is obtained.
- Selective detection of primary ions down to concentration in the μM range possible.
- The selective response is also tested in a fixed ionic background of 150 mM NaCl.
- Represents a valuable strategy for the realization of low-cost biosensing devices.
