Enhancement of the fuel cell performance of a high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell running with titanium composite polybenzimidazole-based membranes

► The Ti based composite membrane reached 1 W cm−2 of power output at 175 °C. ► The composite membrane based on Ti kept high conductivity at high temperature. ► The Ti based composite membrane showed a high stability during long term test. ► The Ti based composite membrane retained better the phosphoric acid.
