Preparation, characterization and redox chemistry of oxo-centered triruthenium dimers linked by bis(diphenylphosphino)anthracene and -ferrocene

Two dimers of oxo-centered triruthenium-acetate cluster moieties with bis(diphenylphosphino)anthracene and -ferrocene, respectively, were prepared and characterized. It is demonstrated that an electronic communication is operative between two triruthenium units across bridging bis(diphenylphosphino)anthracene.
