Cell density-dependent acetylation of ΔNp63α is associated with p53-dependent cell cycle arrest

► Acetylation regulates the function of p53 family members. ► We identified acetylation sites for p63 and generated acetyl-p63 specific antibodies. ► Acetylation of ΔNp63α is associated with cell cycle arrest in high density cell culture. ► Acetylation of ΔNp63α may be a mechanism for epidermal homeostasis.
