Reactions of Mo(II)-tetraphosphine complex [MoCl2{meso-o-C6H4(PPhCH2CH2PPh2)2}] with a series of small molecules

The Mo(II)-tetraphosphine complex [MoCl2(κ4-P4)] (P4 = meso-o-C6H4(PPhCH2CH2PPh2)2) reacted with small molecules L including alkynes, p-Me2C6H3NC (XyNC), and CO to give a series of new complexes of the types [MoCl2(L)(κ3-P4)], [MoCl(L)(κ4-P4)]Cl, [MoCl2(L)(κ4-P4)], and [MoCl(L)2(κ4-P4)]Cl.
