Metal complexes of 2-aza-2-benzyl-5,10,15,20-tetraphenyl-21-carbaporphyrin: M(2-NCH2C6H5NCTPP) (MÂ =Â Ni2+, Pd2+) and Mn(2-NCH2C6H5NCTPP)Br (NCTPPÂ =Â N-confused 5,10,15,20-tetraphenyl porphyrinate)

This work reports the X-ray crystal structures of three new inverted N-confused porphyrin metal complexes, one paramagnetic (3) and two diamagnetic (4 and 5). The ESR and magnetic susceptibility study of 3 has yielded actual structural information in terms of the D parameter.
