First and second coordination spheres in divalent metal compounds containing pyridine and 4,6-dimethyl-1,2,3-triazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-5,7-dione

The crystal structure of compounds containing M(II) (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd), pyridine and anionic 4,6-dimethyl-1,2,3-triazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-5,7-dione (dmax) is described. Mn, Co, Zn and Cd form [M(py)2(H2O)4](dmax)2 salts whereas Ni and Cu form neutral complexes [M(py)2(dmax)2(H2O)4] · 2H2O. The H-bond superstructures are analyzed.
