Effects of particle and grain sizes on martensitic transformation in an Fe-30.5Â at.%Ni alloy

► Small single crystal particles of an Fe-Ni alloy have no Ms temperature. ► They show an isothermal martensitic transformation instead of a athermal one. ► The driving force of them is about twice larger than those of bulk material.
