Rain scavenging of tritiated water vapour: a numerical Eulerian stationary model

►A new approach to tritium washout modeling and a relevant numerical model are proposed. ►Shortcomings of the washout coefficient concept are demonstrated. ►The washout coefficient is unnecessary and it is not used in the proposed washout model. ►The washout model does not suppose Gaussian dispersion and avoids the related demerits. ►Tritium washout is influenced most significantly by temperature and rainfall parameters.
