Hydrogen density in the dayside venusian exosphere derived from Lyman-α observations by SPICAV on Venus Express

► We present the first study of the Lyman-α emission observed by Venus Express. ► We derive hydrogen density and temperature in the exosphere of Venus. ► We study quantitatively the dawn-dusk variations of hydrogen density from UV observations.
