Wavelet analysis of chlorine bubble evolution on electrodes with different surface morphologies
چکیده انگلیسی

Wavelet transform analysis of potential noise for chlorine bubble evolution at the electrode/electrolyte interface is demonstrated. Sol–gel Ru0.25Ti0.70 V0.05Ox coatings with different surface morphologies and a commercial Ru0.3Ti0.7O2 coating are used for a comparative investigation. The simultaneous optical observation and noise analysis are performed in stagnant electrolyte at low applied current densities. The potential noise analysis is then applied exclusively to quasi-industrial electrolysis conditions. The bubble events and their influence on the electrochemical system are well resolved from the wavelet power spectra.

By wavelet transform analysis of the potential noise during NaCl electrolysis information about the chlorine bubble behavior is obtained which helps to improve the electrocatalysis.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slideHighlights
