Switched filter design for interval type-2 fuzzy systems with sensor nonlinearities

This paper studies the problem of switched filter design for interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy systems with sensor nonlinearities. A decomposition scheme is utilized to handle the characteristic of sensor nonlinearities. Moreover, an IT2 switched filter design strategy is proposed, which is switched by the values of membership functions. To derive existence conditions of designing switched filter that guarantees the asymptotically stable and H∞H∞ performance of the inferred filtering error system, some novel properties of membership functions are exploited and utilized. The designed conditions are given by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, a tunnel diode circuit model is utilized to show the effectiveness of the designed approach.
