Flavanoids from Dalea elegans: Chemical reassignment and determination of kinetics parameters related to their anti-tyrosinase activity

- Chemical reassignment of two prenylated flavanones from Dalea elegans is proposed.
- Other four known C-methyl flavonoids were isolated from aerial parts.
- Inhibition on tyrosinase enzyme activity is evaluated in vitro for these compounds.
- 2′,4′-Dihydroxy-5′-(1‴,1‴-dimethylallyl)-8-prenylpinocembrin inhibits tyrosinase.
- This prenylflavanone is a competitive inhibitor of the tyrosinase enzyme.
