Thiacalix[4]arene derivatives with proximally bridged lower rim

The formation of unusual lower rim proximally bridged thiacalix[4]arene derivatives in the cone conformation was observed during the aminolysis reaction of the corresponding tetraacetate derivative with aliphatic α,ω-diamines.
