Palladium-catalyzed reactions of vinylidenecyclopropanes with acetic acid

Pd(PPh3)4-catalyzed reactions of vinylidenecyclopropanes 1 with acetic acid proceeded smoothly at 80 °C in toluene to give the corresponding acetylated dienes 2 in moderate to good yields in the presence of DPEphos ligand.
