Self-assembled discotic liquid crystals formed by hydrogen bonding of alkoxystilbazoles

Discotic liquid crystals were prepared simply through hydrogen bonding between a non-mesogenic phloroglucinol and alkoxystilbazoles, and their self-assembly behavior was investigated.
