Enhanced photoluminescence of conjugated polymer thin films on nanostructured silver

► Change in photoluminescence (PL) of a polymer on a nanostructured metal surface is studied. ► Largest increase in PL occurs at 40 nm distance, 10× larger than for small molecules, due to stronger quenching. ► At peak, 5.6 time enhancement in the PL efficiency is observed.
