Combustion synthesis and luminescence properties of NaY1−xEux(WO4)2 phosphors

► NaY(WO4)2:Eu3+ red phosphors are synthesized by the combustion method successfully. ► The combustion method is time-saving, mild and energy-saving. ► The emission of as-obtained phosphors is stronger than that by the SS method.
