Highly alkoxylated PPV copolymers for PLEDs: Syntheses, optical properties and enhancement of device lifetimes

► Tetra-alkoxylated phenylene vinylene derivative as monomer in PPVs. ► We examine a relationship between sterically hindered PPV polymer backbone and a OLED device lifetime. ► The device lifetime could be greatly enhanced by reducing the steric hindrance of the crowded homopolymer backbone.
