► Densities of x1[C6mim][BF4]+x2 2-propanol were measured at different temperatures. ► Viscosities of the mixture were measured at different temperatures and compositions. ► The excess molar functions of the mixture were correlated by Redlich-Kister equation and the ERAS theory.
