Entropy effects in self-assembling mechanisms: Also a view from the information theory

► We study the self-assembling mechanisms in three simple modeled systems. ► It is shown that there is an attractive interaction driven by entropy. ► A view of these phenomena, from the information theory point of view, is offered. ► We show that supramolecular associations increase the missing information.
