Conductometric and spectroscopic studies of the ion-pair association of sodium and potassium picrate in 2-butanone

► The ion-pair association constant KA, was determined conductmetrically. ► The ion-pair association constant was determined spectrophotometrically. ► The values of the ion pair association constant were obtained. ► The order of KA was: lithium picrate > sodium picrate > potassium picrate. ► The association process for all studied systems is spontaneous process.
