Experimental and computational study on viscosity and optical dielectric constant of solutions of poly (ethylene glycol) 200

► Presence of specific intermolecular interaction in the PEG solutions. ► Strong interactions due to terminal hydroxyl groups of PEG. ► Complex formation through hydrogen bonding in PEG + ethanolamine and PEG + m-cresol. ► The mole ratio of stable adduct is 0.6721 and 0.6706 for PEG + ethanolamine and PEG + m-cresol. ► Mixing rules for the prediction of optical dielectric permittivity of PEG200 solutions.
