Effect of synthesis temperature on the magneto-electrochemical properties of LaFe0.9Co0.1O3 nanoparticles

In Figure shows ferromagnetism (FM) at room temperature (RT), charge-discharge capacity of electrodes (inset in the right) and TEM image (inset in the left) of LaFe0.9Co0.1O3 nanoparticles prepared by polymer pyrolysis method and calcined at 700, 800, 900 and 1000 °C for 3 h in air. The highest value of Co3+/Co2+ ratio showed a maximum saturation magnetization (MS) of 1.0 emu/g for sample calcined at 900 °C. The bright field TEM image showed the aggregated particles. The high surface area to volume ratios of the nanoparticles is discussed on the highest discharge capacity of 1150 mAh/g. The FM and novel super-capacitor behavior of LaFeO3 can be improved by Co substitution at Fe3+ sites with small amount of 10 at %.294
