Pediatric sialolithiasis is not related to oral or oropharyngeal infection: A population-based case control study using the Korean National Health Insurance Database

Oral or oropharyngeal infections were inversely associated with pediatric sialolithiasis, suggesting that pediatric sialolithiasis may result from the intrinsic factors of the salivary gland itself, not from oral or oropharyngeal infections.
