Ultrahigh sensitivity of Nd-doped porous α-Fe2O3 nanotubes to acetone

- Porous Nd-doped α-Fe2O3 nanotubes (a novel nanostructure) are synthesized.
- Materials show ultrahigh sensitivity and good selectivity to acetone.
- The lowest detection limit is 500 ppb.
