Thin layer drying kinetics, characteristics and modeling of plaster of paris

► Plaster of paris was subjected to three different drying techniques. ► Detail study was done on drying kinetics, characteristics and diffusivity. ► Among microwave, convective and combine drying, microwave performed better. ► A new mathematical correlation was developed for microwave drying. ► New correlation represented the effect of process parameters on moisture removal.
