ATSR infrared radiometric calibration and in-orbit performance

► We describe the infrared calibration of the Along Track Scanning Radiometers. ► The pre-launch calibration tests and results of the three sensors are compared. ► The radiometric accuracies of the sensors were shown to be better than 0.05 K. ► On-orbit monitoring demonstrates the long-term stability of the radiometry.
