Permeability of iron sulfide (FeS)-based materials for groundwater remediation

► FeS columns did not show precipitation of non-contaminants or generation of gases. ► FeS column hydraulic conductivity was not diminished throughout the experiments. ► Geochemical modeling showed little permeability change in FeS, even in adverse conditions. ► FeS appears to have a lower potential for permeability loss in PRBs than does ZVI.
